The Napa Wine Project
One of Dominari's gems is the 2007 Petite Sirah. The vineyard source is at about 1000 feet east of the valley floor (Nichelini Ranch off of Highway 128). This wine is all about the fruit with a noticeable sweet component to the bouquet. Hints of fig and lots of black cherry make up the palate profile. With nice acidity and balance this is an excellent food wine. With well managed tannins this wine is also quite enjoyable as a stand alone

"2002 Dominari Cabernet Sauvignon ($75): Sophisticated bouquet of smoke and spice draws you into the rich blueberry and cherry flavors. A robust structure, wonderful mouth feel, and plum and chocolate on the finish."

Wine LX
"Their current wine releases consist of; 2002/2004/2005 Cabernet Sauvignon; 2005 Merlot, 2005 Syrah, 2007 Zinfandel, 2007 Petit Sirah and a 2007 Chardonnay. We tried and enjoyed the Chardonnay, Merlot, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon, all were very good wines. We were especially impressed with the Chardonnay, which was full bodied, rich and creamy with vanilla tones, the Petit Sirah was dark purple and delicious and the Cabernet Sauvignon was a big, smooth and built to last wine."

2002 Dominari Cabernet Sauvignon:

Appellation America - Atlas Peak Appellation Signature Wine selection:

Bright, dark, deep color. Rich, sweet, oak-vanilla, chocolate, jammy berry notes, with slight celery in the nose. Berry with hints of vanilla flavors and mint-y eucalyptus, blackberry, dark cherry, cedar, brown sugar, and cocoa. Big, tannic structure with modest acidity finishing second. Velvet-y. Balance?...Wow! Although this wine has big tannins, it finishes creamy with nice acidity, lingering but needs time. Best tannins of all the Atlas Peak Cabs tasted; too much at first, but upon allowing it to sit in the glass, it’s well-integrated. (Atlas Peak Discovery Tasting: April 29, 2006)

Wine Enthusiast Magazine - Buying Guide - Sept. 2004 - 92 points
Dominari 2001 Merlot (Napa Valley); $45. This complete and fulfilling Merlot has lots of stuffing. The flavors run toward ripe plums and blackberries, with an undertow of green olive, coffee and chocolate. Oak brings smoky vanillins and adds its own sort of sweetness. But the real wonder are the tannins, which are rich ripe and complex.
